Reports indicate that the Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra are slated for a notable hardware upgrade regarding their front-facing camera systems. Information suggests that Samsung intends to move away from the 12MP front-facing camera, a component that has been a standard feature since the S23 Ultra, and adopt a 16MP sensor instead. According to reporting from GalaxyClub, this transition may involve a square sensor, potentially allowing the devices to utilize functionality similar to Apple’s “center stage” camera technology. It remains unknown if this upgrade will extend to the more affordable Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus models.
