This policy explains what information Archypedia collects when you visit archypedia.news, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Server logs. Hosting infrastructure records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, referring page and timestamps. We use this for security, debugging and aggregate traffic statistics.
- Reading statistics. We count article views, reading-depth milestones and clicks on related stories, source links and sharing controls. Your browser creates a random session identifier in session storage. Our server stores only a salted, one-way hash of that identifier, once per signal, article and day. The engagement table does not store your IP address, user-agent, email address or a cross-site advertising identifier, and it does not create reader accounts or public profiles.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your address and message so we can respond.
Cookies and advertising
Archypedia may display advertising served by Google or other advertising partners. Those partners may use cookies to serve ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. You can manage Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. Embedded content, such as videos or social posts, may also set cookies under the third party's own policy.
Archypedia's first-party reading statistics use browser session storage rather than a tracking cookie. Engagement records are retained for up to 180 days and are used to improve article structure, internal links, topic dossiers and publishing priorities. They are not used to weaken editorial or verification standards.
Your rights
Depending on your location, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA jurisdictions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to processing, and request portability. To exercise a right, email [email protected].
Children
Archypedia is a general-audience news site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
