How We Source and Verify Information

We rely on a mixture of primary sources, reputable secondary reporting, and expert analysis. This includes:

  • Official documents, court filings, regulatory announcements, and government data.
  • Direct statements, press conferences, and on-the-record interviews.
  • Peer-reviewed research and data from recognized institutions (especially in Health and Science, if applicable).
  • Reporting from established news organizations, clearly attributed with links.

Before publishing, editors and contributors are expected to:

  • Confirm information against at least one credible source; more for sensitive topics.
  • Distinguish clearly between what is known, what is not yet confirmed, and what is analysis or context.
  • Avoid sensational or misleading framing, especially in headlines.

When a story is based primarily on another outlet’s reporting, we clearly attribute and link to the original source. We aim to add value through clear summaries, context, and synthesis, rather than duplication.

How We Use AI in Our Newsroom

ArchyPedia News uses AI tools to help our human editors work more efficiently, but humans are always responsible for final content.

AI may be used to:

  • Draft initial summaries of long articles, reports, or transcripts for editors to refine.
  • Suggest headlines, bullet points, or key questions for coverage.
  • Assist with translation and language clarity across international stories.

AI is not used to:

  • Publish fully automated articles without human review.
  • Fabricate quotes, sources, or events.
  • Replace journalistic judgment, ethical decisions, or editorial accountability.

Every piece of content published on archypedia.news is reviewed and approved by a human editor. Our editors—under the supervision of Editor-in-Chief Dr. Elara Vance and Managing Editor Kaelen Thorne—are responsible for checking accuracy, context, tone, and fairness.

For more detail on our use of AI and newsroom tools, you may consult our dedicated page (if published): How We Use AI.

Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Our editorial decisions are independent from our commercial relationships, including advertising or sponsorships. Editors and contributors must:

  • Disclose any personal, financial, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence coverage.
  • Not accept gifts, payments, or favors that could compromise—or appear to compromise—their independence.
  • Refrain from covering companies, organizations, or individuals with whom they have a direct financial stake, except with explicit editorial approval and disclosure.

Potential conflicts are reviewed by the Managing Editor and, when necessary, by the Editor-in-Chief. In cases where complete independence is not possible, we either assign another editor/writer or clearly disclose relevant relationships.

Corrections, Updates, and Clarifications

We strive to be accurate in all our coverage. When errors occur, we correct them as quickly and transparently as possible.

Our approach:

  • Minor corrections (e.g., typos that do not change meaning) may be updated silently.
  • Substantive corrections (e.g., incorrect figures, misidentified individuals, or major missing context) are corrected in the article and noted with a timestamp and brief explanation.
  • Clarifications are issued when original wording was technically accurate but potentially misleading or incomplete.

Readers who believe they have identified an error can:

Contributors and Attribution

Articles on archypedia.news may be produced by staff editors, staff writers, and vetted freelance contributors. All bylines represent real individuals, and each author has (or will have) an author page with a short biography and, when appropriate, contact details.

Where content is aggregated or heavily based on another outlet’s reporting, we:

  • Display a clear link to the original source.
  • State the originating outlet by name.
  • Aim to add value through summarization, context, and synthesis, rather than simple duplication.

Our masthead, including leadership and section editors, is listed on the About / Masthead page.
