The European Chamber of Commerce in Côte d’Ivoire, Eurocham Côte d’Ivoire, has confirmed the reappointment of Christian Delmotte as its president, signaling a period of leadership continuity as the organization pivots toward expanded professional development and sustainable economic growth.
Expanding Professional Training for 2025
Under the continued leadership of Delmotte, Eurocham is significantly scaling its educational outreach to support the local business ecosystem. The organization has announced a reinforced training agenda for 2025, which includes the organization of 46 training sessions designed to enhance professional skills and business capacity within the country.
This expansion of the chamber’s training offer is part of a broader strategic effort to bridge the gap between European business standards and the local Ivorian market, ensuring that professionals have access to updated industry practices.
Focus on Green Economy and Youth Employment
A central pillar of the chamber’s current initiative is the promotion of the green economy. Eurocham is implementing new training programs specifically aimed at accelerating employment opportunities for young people by equipping them with skills relevant to sustainable industries.
By aligning vocational training with ecological transitions, the organization aims to create a pipeline of youth-led talent capable of supporting environmentally sustainable business models in Côte d’Ivoire.
National Initiatives in Energy Efficiency
Parallel to these private-sector efforts, the Ivorian government is also prioritizing sustainability through inter-ministerial cooperation. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Energy have entered into a partnership to promote energy-saving best practices within the school system, integrating energy efficiency into the educational environment.
