She holds a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling and is a certified public manager. She cast her first vote in the Senate on Tuesday regarding an annual defense authorization bill, though the measure did not pass.

The appointment serves only as a temporary measure to finish the current term, which expires on 3 January 2027.
