Meghan Markle’s Netflix series earns first Daytime Emmy nomination

The Duchess of Sussex has secured her first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination, a milestone that comes months after the cancellation of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The nomination, announced Tuesday, July 14, recognizes the show in the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category for the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The ceremony is scheduled to take place October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

The series, which premiered in March 2025, documented the duchess’s interests in cooking, gardening, and hosting. Over the course of two seasons and a holiday special, the program featured appearances from various guests, including Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, and Prince Harry. Data released by the streaming service indicated that the second season of the show was the 1,124th most-watched program between July and December 2025, recording two million views.

In response to the news, the duchess posted a message on social media early Wednesday, July 15, thanking the production team. "A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on With Love, Meghan on @netflix," she wrote. "We are nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Series!"

Industry Context and Brand Shifts

The nomination arrives during a period of transition for the Sussexes' professional ventures. The couple initially signed a contract with Netflix after stepping back as working royals in 2020, a deal reported to be worth more than 100 million US dollars. While Netflix and the duchess ended their partnership regarding her lifestyle brand, As Ever, in March, the streaming giant maintained its broader relationship with the couple through their company, Archewell Productions.

Addressing business shifts in March, Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria stated that the departure from As Ever was a routine business decision. Deals come and go all the time, she noted during a Next on Netflix event. We don't renew so many deals and those don't get as much press for obvious reasons, I guess.
