Youri Tielemans is enjoying a career-best season with Aston Villa, and the Belgian midfielder appears content to remain with the Premier League side, despite reported interest from European giants like Real Madrid. His focus remains firmly on Villa’s ambitions, as the club pushes for a top finish in a tightly contested Premier League.

Tielemans Shines at Villa Park

Aston Villa currently sit third in the Premier League, level on points with Manchester City, a testament to their impressive form and Tielemans’ pivotal role in midfield. The 26-year-old has become a key figure for Unai Emery’s side, consistently delivering strong performances and dictating play. Emery is so impressed with Tielemans that the club is looking to extend his contract beyond its current expiration date of June 2028, hoping to ward off potential suitors.

When questioned by Birmingham Live about a possible move to Real Madrid, Tielemans was emphatic. “For me, Aston Villa is already the top. We perform at a high level and have the ambition to go even higher. I’m not thinking about anything else at the moment,” he stated.

Anderlecht Return Not on the Cards… For Now

Naturally, fans of Anderlecht, Tielemans’ former club, have speculated about a potential return to Belgium. The possibility of a reunion with Romelu Lukaku has been a frequent topic of discussion. However, Tielemans has been realistic about the chances of rejoining the Brussels club.

“Wow, I haven’t really thought about that yet. I know Romelu would be up for it. Anything can happen in football, but I don’t want to give people false hope,”

While a return for Lukaku appears more plausible, Tielemans seems determined to continue his career in the Premier League. He is clearly enjoying his football at Aston Villa and focused on achieving success with his current club.
