David Reynolds has issued a public apology to his teammate after a “bizarre” collision at the hairpin stripped both drivers of their potential results and left one vehicle severely damaged.

The incident occurred while Reynolds was in the midst of a strong podium charge. The contact, described as a bizarre hit at the hairpin, resulted in Kostecki’s car being smashed, effectively ending his competitive run in the session.
